Instead of a traditional toy giveaway, the event gives families a department-store-style shopping experience where parents and grandparents can choose gifts for their children rather than receive a preselected package. It will serve around 250 - 500 families/1,200 children ages 0–16. Volunteer elves will help create a memorable experience for each family.
While parents shop, kids take part in Santa's Workshop, with games, crafts, and supervised activities. A Christmas Resource Village connects families with community partners and agencies for support that extends past the holiday, covering things like health, education, and financial literacy. The goal is to restore dignity and choice to the giving process while building a lasting bridge to community resources.
